Our Doctrine
We believe that the Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the inerrant and inspired Word of God and are profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. (2 Tim. 3:16)
We confess that the Lutheran Book of Concord (Dresden, 1580) is a faithful exhibition of the Holy Scriptures.
Our Practice
Our congregation uses The Lutheran Hymnal (TLH) of 1941 for its services and hymnody. We follow the historic one-year lectionary included in TLH and have elected to use the King James Version (KJV) for our Scripture lessons and psalmody.
In accordance with the command of God and the practice of the apostolic Church, our congregation practices Closed Communion. (1 Cor. 1:10; 10:14-17; 11:27-29)
Our Fellowship
Apologia is served by pastors who are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Diocese of North America (ELDoNA).
If you belong to a church in our fellowship and plan to visit Apologia for Divine Service, we ask that you contact Pr. Henson ahead of time with your intention to commune at our altar!
